Duties Perform automotive structural repairs using MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and bodies. Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and collision damage assessment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to shape, repair, and refine vehicle surfaces. Apply automotive cosmetic repairs such as auto body refinishing and detailing to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts accurately, including panels, trim, and other components while ensuring proper alignment and fitment. Execute fabrication repair techniques for custom modifications or repairs using sheet metal fabrication skills. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed and support auto restoration projects to bring classic or damaged vehicles back to life. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of power tools. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair progress clearly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the process. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or collision repair shop. Strong background in auto body repair, automotive structural repair, dent removal, and sheet metal work. Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair techniques, and fabrication methods specific to automotive applications. Familiarity with automotive parts installation Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems to assist with minor maintenance or troubleshooting when necessary. Experience using hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, and automotive welding machinery efficiently and safely. Knowledge of auto estimating processes is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is appreciated. Ability to lift heavy components safely while maintaining attention to detail during all phases of repair work.
