We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Technician & Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert auto body repair, structural work, and high-quality painting. Your expertise in welding, fabrication, and automotive cosmetic repair will ensure each vehicle is returned to its optimal state with precision and care. Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Utilize fabrication skills to create or modify parts using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working techniques. Conduct automotive welding repairs with specialized automotive welding equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding surfaces with sanding tools and applying automotive body refinishing techniques. Apply auto painting using airless paint spraying equipment, ensuring a smooth finish that matches factory specifications. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Perform detailing and cosmetic repairs to enhance vehicle appearance, including sanding, polishing, and touch-up work. Assist in auto restoration projects by utilizing fabrication repair techniques and mechanical knowledge to bring classic or damaged vehicles back to life. Support vehicle maintenance tasks when necessary, including heavy lifting and assembly work to ensure safety and efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and maintaining clear communication throughout the repair cycle. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician. ICAR Certification & or ASE Certification a plus Strong skills in auto body repair, auto painting, welding (including MIG welding), soldering, and fabrication repair techniques. Knowledge of automotive structural repair, dent removal, sheet metal work, and automotive cosmetic repair methods. Familiarity with automotive parts installation, auto glass replacement, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, airless paint sprayers, and automotive welding equipment safely and effectively. Must have own tools. Mechanical knowledge related to auto restoration projects and general vehicle systems. Experience with auto estimating processes is a plus but not required. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills; ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Good communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
