Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician and bring your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body restoration, and cosmetic refinishing to the forefront. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition using advanced welding, fabrication, and auto painting techniques. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will ensure each vehicle is repaired efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and sheet metal work, utilizing MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair techniques. Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel replacement, and automotive cosmetic repairs using sanding tools, power tools, and auto painting equipment. Fabricate custom parts or repair components through fabrication techniques to meet specific vehicle needs. Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Apply automotive refinishing techniques such as auto painting with airless paint sprayers and detailing to achieve a flawless finish. Use auto estimating skills to assess damage and determine repair scope while communicating effectively with customers about repair processes. Maintain safety standards by properly handling heavy lifting tasks and operating automotive welding equipment responsibly. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or collision center environment. Strong proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment operation. Knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, auto restoration, and cosmetic refinishing processes. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and auto painting equipment for detailed vehicle repairs. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive parts installation is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
