Duties Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and sheet metal work, using MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques. Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel replacement, sanding, and automotive cosmetic repairs to restore vehicle appearance. Utilize automotive welding equipment and power tools to repair or replace damaged parts with precision. Install automotive parts including glass, panels, and other components while ensuring proper fitment and alignment. Apply auto painting techniques using airless paint spraying equipment and automotive body refinishing methods for a smooth, professional finish. Conduct auto restoration projects by repairing or refurbishing vintage or damaged vehicles with attention to detail. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks related to collision repair, auto glass replacement, and general mechanical troubleshooting when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards during heavy lifting and tool operation. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair progress clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the finished work. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or independent shop environment. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and sheet metal fabrication techniques. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive parts installation processes. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and general automotive repair procedures. Skilled in using hand tools, sanding tools, power tools, and detailing equipment for cosmetic finishing. Experience with auto restoration projects or working on vintage vehicles is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs.
