Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition using advanced auto body repair techniques. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle is meticulously repaired and finished to meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Perform automotive structural repairs, including dent removal, sheet metal work, and frame straightening using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and automotive welding equipment. Conduct auto body repairs involving sanding, sanding tools, auto painting, auto restoration, and automotive cosmetic repair to achieve a flawless finish. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to shape, cut, and assemble vehicle parts with precision. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components ensuring proper fitment and alignment. Use automotive parts installation knowledge for efficient assembly and repair of vehicle components. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic vehicle maintenance tasks and understanding automotive structural integrity. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding, soldering, and fabrication activities. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair progress clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto repair role with dealership experience preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication repair techniques a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair equipment. Familiarity with automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, auto restoration, and auto painting processes. Knowledge of automotive parts installation including auto glass replacement and detailing procedures a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Basic understanding of auto estimating processes is a plus but not required.
