Auto Body Paint Prepper - Full-Time Chip N Scratch Auto Body | Nampa, ID Chip N Scratch Auto Body is looking for a dependable Paint Prepper to join our team. We're looking for someone who has experience in an auto body environment, pays attention to detail, and can keep vehicles moving efficiently through the paint process. This is a W-2 hourly position — no commission, flat rate, or 1099 work.
Pay:
$18-$22/hour
DOE Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday Location:
Nampa, Idaho Responsibilities Sand and prepare vehicles and panels for paint Mask vehicles, panels, trim, and other areas as needed Perform scuffing, feather edging, and surface preparation Apply and sand primer as needed Identify and correct minor surface imperfections before paint Clean and prepare surfaces for the painter Assist with vehicle and part preparation throughout the paint process Maintain a clean and organized prep and paint area Work closely with the painter and body technicians to keep jobs moving Maintain consistent quality and attention to detail What We're Looking For Previous automotive paint prep or body shop experience preferred Knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and general paint-prep procedures Strong attention to detail Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality Dependable and consistently on time Able to follow direction and work well with the shop team Valid driver's license preferred Compensation & Benefits $18-$22/hour depending on experience W-2 hourly employment No commission or flat-rate pay No 1099 50% monthly health insurance reimbursement Consistent full-time hours Monday-Friday schedule Steady workflow in an established local body shop We're looking for someone who takes pride in the prep process and understands that a great paint job starts with great preparation.
