Now, for those job details: We're expanding our team of Technicians by adding a Body Shop Technician at our facility in Hudson, IL! In this role, you will perform body repairs on semi-trucks and possibly some trailers. You'll need a safety-first mindset, strong organizational skills, and experience as a heavy-duty collision repair technician. We need working equipment ready to go at all times, so this role is critical to Nussbaum's success!

Your duties include:

Managing tractor painted parts inventory Repairing damaged truck body parts Making small to medium repairs on tractors Removing and installing interior truck components Write estimates ad-ons for parts and labor Inspect work performed by other shops while the tractor was out on the road Prepare parts and equipment for painting Recondition trucks for sale Follow safe work practices Maintain an organized, stocked, and clean work area All other duties as assigned by your supervisor Schedule Full-time position: Monday-Friday, 7am

Effective communication with colleagues and superiors. Desired Skills Experience working on the Freightliner Cascadia platform. Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other automotive systems. Able to navigate online resource material and recommended best practices. Experience with cab & sheet metal repair, composite repair, bonding, surface preparation, fiberglass repair, alignment, and welding. Basic toolkit and toolbox (DA sander, grinder, basic hand tools, sockets, wrenches, and impact gun). Qualifications (Preferred but not required) 1+ years experience working in heavy duty collision repair & painting. Welding certificate or 1+ year of experience. PPG Painting Certified.
