Wheaton, IL A busy, family-owned independent shop in Wheaton, IL is seeking a highly skilled Autobody Painter/Prepper to join our team. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship and a collaborative garage environment. Schedule & Compensation Stable hours : Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay structure : Hourly position (paid every Friday) Employee Benefits Health insurance fully included. Dental insurance fully included. 2 weeks paid time off (PTO) guaranteed after 1 year of employment. Painter Qualifications Proven experience in automotive painting with Axalta Waterborne Painting System, refinishing, and color matching. Expertise in prep work , including surface preparation, masking, and priming. Advanced finishing skills , with proficiency in wet sanding and buffing. High-quality standards capable of delivering consistent, showroom-finish results. Strong attention to detail and a deep commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent work ethic , including being responsible, hardworking, and highly reliable. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work efficiently alongside body technicians.
