Their corporate office is situated in Rhode Island. Overview We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles, performing structural repairs, cosmetic refinishing, and restoration projects. Duties Repair and restore vehicle bodies using automotive structural repair techniques and sheet metal fabrication. Perform welding repairs utilizing MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to ensure vehicle integrity. Use hand tools and power tools to sand, shape, and prepare surfaces for refinishing or assembly. Conduct auto painting with airless paint spraying systems and automotive body refinishing to achieve high-quality finishes. Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, and other components with precision and attention to detail. Perform auto restoration projects by applying fabrication repair techniques and automotive cosmetic repair skills. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including auto glass replacement and general mechanical repairs as needed. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or collision center environment. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding repair techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive structural repair and parts installation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and fabrication equipment. Knowledge of auto painting processes including airless paint spraying and finishing techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in physically demanding situations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repair processes and estimates.
