Overview Dan Cristiani Excavating is a contractor with a diverse group of related companies licensed to perform work around the Midwest. We have worked hard for over 55 years to offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of utility construction, and excavating services, including earth moving, land clearing, and demolition. We have broad experience in stormwater drainage, water lines, sanitary lines, and stormwater retention. We are currently seeking a qualified disassembly/ reassembly tech to join our team. As a disassembly/ reassembly technician, you will play a critical role in our operations by dismantling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles and equipment, ensuring their functionality and quality. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards.

JOB DUTIES

Disassemble and reassemble products and equipment according to specifications and guidelines Inspect and diagnose issues, troubleshooting problems as they arise Clean, polish, and maintain parts and tools used in the disassembly and reassembly process Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets Document and record all work performed, including any repairs or modifications made Test and inspect assembled items for proper functionality and adherence to quality standards Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe working environment Examine damaged vehicles and assess the extent of repairs needed Perform structural repairs on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment Repair cosmetic damage such as dents, scratches, and paintwork Replace damaged parts and components as necessary Ensure that repairs align with manufacturer specifications and industry standards Keep detailed documentation and records of all repairs performed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver's license. Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations Trade School or Vocational Schooling preferred Proven experience in disassembly and reassembly Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of different tools Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication skills Proficiency in using various tools and equipment related to collision repair Deep knowledge of vehicle systems and components

SKILlS:

Experience with Inventory Management Software Tech savvy & capable of multitasking Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording. Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. Strong written and verbal communication skills Mathematical skills to help manage the inventory & pricing

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift over 50lbs Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, such as prolonged physical exertion, and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working in awkward positions, crawling under or climbing on top of equipment. Exposure to noise, heat, dust and fumes as found in a repair facility Ability to frequently climb in and out of various types of equipment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or

GED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 1-3 years of Body Shop experience
