Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs using MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques. Utilize automotive welding equipment and power tools to restore vehicle frames and panels accurately. Conduct auto painting, sanding, and refinishing to achieve a flawless cosmetic appearance. Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, and other components with precision and care. Use auto estimating tools to assess damages and determine repair scopes; communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes. Operate heavy lifting equipment safely for vehicle movement and component installation. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or collision center environment. Proficiency in MIG welding, automotive welding repair, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, and automotive structural repair. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair equipment. Knowledge of auto painting processes including airless paint spraying and automotive refinishing techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physically capable of working on vehicles for extended periods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates.
