Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care. Your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and cosmetic refinishing will ensure our customers receive top-quality service. Responsibilities Perform automotive structural repairs using MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and bodies. Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to shape, repair, and finish vehicle surfaces. Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, auto glass replacement, and automotive cosmetic repairs. Apply automotive paint using airless paint spraying systems and perform auto body refinishing to achieve a high-quality finish. Install automotive parts such as bumpers, trim pieces, auto glass, and other components with precision and attention to detail. Utilize fabrication techniques to create custom parts or repair panels as needed for auto restoration projects. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols during heavy lifting, use of power tools, and welding operations. Collaborate with the customer service team for auto estimating and communicate effectively about repair timelines and procedures. Qualifications Proven experience as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or independent shop. Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes including welding repair, sheet metal fabrication, sanding techniques, and automotive cosmetic repair. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, soldering, automotive welding equipment, and fabrication repair techniques. Familiarity with auto painting methods such as airless paint spraying and automotive refinishing processes. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive parts installation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and other workshop equipment used in auto body repair. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
