Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician, where your expertise in automotive structural repair and cosmetic restoration will bring vehicles back to their original glory! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for repairing, refinishing, and restoring a wide range of vehicles with precision and care. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will ensure every vehicle meets our high standards for quality and safety. Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural alignment using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Utilize automotive welding equipment, power tools, sanding tools, and airless paint spraying systems to restore vehicle exteriors. Conduct auto painting, refinishing, and detailing to achieve a flawless cosmetic finish that exceeds customer expectations. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim, and other components with precision using hand tools and assembly techniques. Apply fabrication repair techniques to customize or restore vehicle frames and panels, ensuring proper fitment and safety standards are met. Diagnose vehicle damage accurately by assessing mechanical issues related to automotive structural integrity and performing necessary repairs or replacements. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair journey. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto restoration role within a dealership or independent shop setting. Hands-on expertise with auto body repair including auto painting, sanding, auto refinishing, and automotive cosmetic repairs. Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and the use of automotive welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, parts installation, and automotive structural repair processes. Familiarity with auto estimating procedures and working with automotive parts suppliers is a plus. Ability to operate heavy lifting equipment safely and efficiently while performing repairs that require significant physical effort. Knowledge of auto glass installation, auto body assembly, and the use of various hand tools and power tools essential for detailed repairs.
