Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Mask off areas accurately using surface preparation masking techniques to protect non-painted surfaces. Apply automotive paints and coatings using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment for a smooth, even finish. Perform surface repairs and auto body refinishing tasks including dent removal, filler application, and polishing. Utilize buffing and polishing tools to achieve a high-gloss, professional appearance on painted surfaces. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols including proper use of respiratory protection and personal protective equipment. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as minor mechanical repairs or welding as needed to support overall auto restoration projects. Qualifications Proven experience in auto body repair and auto painting, preferably within a dealership or collision center environment. Strong knowledge of automotive surface preparation, sanding techniques, and painting processes. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, grinders, buffing machines, and spray guns for automotive refinishing. Familiarity with automotive buffing, detailing, and surface finishing techniques to achieve high-quality results. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment. Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with vehicle maintenance are advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards team collaboration and client satisfaction.
