Duties Perform automotive structural repairs, dent removal, and sheet metal fabrication using MIG welding, soldering, and various welding repair techniques. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive painting equipment to restore vehicle bodies with precision. Conduct auto body refinishing including auto painting, auto glass replacement, and detailing to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts such as bumpers, panels, trim pieces, and auto glass with attention to detail and quality standards. Execute automotive cosmetic repairs and auto restoration projects while adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices. Use auto estimating skills to assess damage severity and determine repair scope; communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes. Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks including mechanical repairs, auto parts installation, and working with automotive parts suppliers when needed. Requirements Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or working extensively as an automotive body technician within a dealership or repair shop setting. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair techniques including sheet metal work and fabrication repair methods. Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, welding repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with auto restoration processes, auto painting (including airless paint spraying), sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair. Mechanical aptitude with experience in vehicle maintenance, auto parts installation, auto glass replacement, and general automotive repair. Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, and assembly tools efficiently. Excellent customer service skills coupled with the ability to accurately estimate repairs and communicate effectively with clients.
