Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician and become a vital part of restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and craftsmanship. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and cosmetic refinishing to deliver exceptional results. Your skills in welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure each vehicle is repaired efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties Perform automotive structural repairs using MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and bodies. Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, sanding, and automotive cosmetic refinishing to achieve a flawless finish. Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to execute precise repairs and fabrication tasks. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, panels, and other components with attention to detail and safety standards. Apply auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying to match original vehicle colors and finishes. Assist in auto restoration projects by fabricating custom parts or repairing damaged sheet metal sections. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, use of power tools, and welding activities. Collaborate with team members on auto estimating, vehicle inspection, and customer service to ensure timely completion of repairs. Skills Proven dealership experience or background working as an automotive body technician in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto repair processes, and automotive parts installation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive painting equipment for cosmetic repairs. Experience with automotive structural repair including auto restoration and sheet metal work. Knowledge of auto body refinishing techniques such as sanding, priming, painting, and detailing for a high-quality finish. Ability to perform auto glass replacement and automotive dent repair with precision. Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles is a plus.
