Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care, ensuring every repair meets our high standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will help transform damaged vehicles into safe, reliable, and visually appealing masterpieces, providing exceptional service to our valued customers. Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including dent removal, collision damage restoration, and panel replacement using advanced techniques and tools. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding methods to secure sheet metal and structural components accurately. Fabricate custom parts and modify existing panels through sheet metal work and mechanical fabrication skills. Apply auto paint using airless paint spraying equipment and ensure flawless finishing with detailing techniques. Replace and repair auto glass components with precision, ensuring proper fitment and safety standards. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as alignment checks, mechanical repairs, and assembly of repaired parts. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for disassembly, repair, and reassembly processes while maintaining safety protocols. Assist in auto restoration projects by restoring vintage or damaged vehicles to their original condition with meticulous attention to detail. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes, timelines, and addressing customer questions professionally. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations at all times. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, auto painting, and auto glass replacement. Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair, including auto estimating and vehicle maintenance procedures. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, airless paint sprayers, and other relevant machinery. Knowledge of auto restoration techniques and experience working with vintage or custom vehicles is a plus. Familiarity with automotive repair standards, safety protocols, and quality control measures. Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills; ability to lift heavy objects safely when needed.
