Overview Vache Highland Shipping LLC operates a fleet of delivery vehicles in Slidell, Louisiana. We are looking for an experienced Auto Body Repair Technician to provide ongoing, project-based body repair and refinishing for our fleet. This position is for an experienced auto body professional who can independently assess damage and complete repairs from start to finish. This is not an entry-level or training position. Candidates must already possess the skills, experience, tools, and equipment necessary to perform professional-quality auto body repairs without supervision or on-the-job training.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced body technician who operates independently, has their own business, or is looking for additional project-based work. Responsibilities Independently assess vehicle body damage and determine the appropriate repair Repair dents, scratches, scrapes, cracks, and other body damage Repair or replace damaged bumpers, body panels, trim, and exterior components Perform body filler work, sanding, shaping, and surface preparation Perform automotive painting, color matching, blending, and refinishing Buff, polish, and finish repaired areas to a professional standard Determine when damaged components should be repaired versus replaced Source or identify necessary materials and parts when needed Provide pricing and estimated completion time before beginning work Complete approved repairs efficiently and within the agreed timeframe Communicate additional damage or necessary work before proceeding Deliver clean, professional-quality finished repairs Qualifications Minimum 3 years of professional, hands-on auto body repair experience Must be able to independently complete auto body repairs from assessment through final finish Strong experience with dent repair, body filler, sanding, shaping, and surface preparation Strong experience repairing and replacing bumpers and body panels Experience with automotive painting, paint matching, blending, refinishing, buffing, and finishing Ability to determine the most practical and cost-effective repair method Ability to consistently produce professional-quality finished work Must have your own tools and equipment necessary to perform the work Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Must be able to provide reasonable estimates for labor, materials, and completion time Reliable transportation Dependable communication and follow-through This position does not provide training in auto body repair, painting, or refinishing. Applicants must already be fully capable of performing this work independently. About the Work This is ongoing, as-needed contract work , not a traditional full-time position. Work volume will vary depending on fleet needs and vehicle damage. Our Fleet Manager will identify vehicles requiring bodywork and coordinate vehicle availability. You will assess the damage, provide pricing and an estimated completion time, and complete approved repairs. We are looking to develop a long-term relationship with a dependable local auto body professional who takes pride in their work and can help us keep our fleet looking its best. Individual repairs may also be quoted and agreed upon by project based on the scope of the work.

Pay:
