Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as an Auto Body Technician and become a vital part of restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and craftsmanship. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and finishing to deliver exceptional results. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of vehicle repairs, from minor cosmetic fixes to major structural restorations, ensuring customer satisfaction every step of the way. We offer housing assistance if needed for relocation. Duties Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and sheet metal work, using advanced welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Conduct auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and automotive cosmetic repairs utilizing sanding tools, hand tools, and power tools. Execute auto painting and refinishing tasks with airless paint spraying equipment to achieve high-quality finishes. Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, and other components with precision using automotive parts installation tools. Utilize fabrication skills to create custom metal parts or repair sections through sheet metal working and fabrication techniques. Apply automotive repair knowledge to ensure vehicle safety and integrity, including auto restoration projects and collision damage repairs. Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes and communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding work progress. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or collision center environment. Strong proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment operation. Hands-on experience with sheet metal work, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive structural repair methods. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto restoration processes, and automotive parts installation. Skilled in using sanding tools, hand tools, power tools, and auto painting equipment for cosmetic repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle repairs or parts handling. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
