Responsibilities Repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies using auto body repair techniques, including welding repair, sheet metal work, and automotive structural repair. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to perform precise repairs on vehicle frames and panels. Fabricate custom parts or panels using fabrication repair techniques and sheet metal working skills to match original specifications. Perform auto painting, sanding, detailing, and automotive cosmetic repair to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, trim pieces, and other components with proper assembly methods. Conduct auto restoration projects by applying advanced fabrication repair techniques and automotive parts installation knowledge. Use power tools, sanding tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other hand tools efficiently to complete repairs accurately. Maintain a high level of customer service by communicating clearly about repair processes and timelines. Follow safety protocols while handling heavy lifting tasks, welding equipment, and chemical products used in refinishing processes. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto repair role within a dealership or independent shop. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and automotive cosmetic repair techniques. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repairs, and the use of automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with auto painting processes including airless paint spraying and auto body refinishing methods. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive parts installation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and specialized equipment for auto restoration projects. Dealership experience is highly preferred but not mandatory; a passion for automotive repair is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and estimates.
