Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Collision Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition through expert collision repair techniques. Your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body refinishing, and welding will ensure our customers receive top-quality service and exceptional results. Duties Perform comprehensive collision repairs including auto body repairs, dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using advanced fabrication and welding techniques. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to repair or replace damaged panels and structural components. Conduct auto restoration projects, including auto painting, sanding, detailing, and automotive cosmetic repairs to achieve a flawless finish. Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and airless paint spraying equipment to prepare surfaces and apply finishes with precision. Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, bumpers, and other components while ensuring proper fitment and alignment. Diagnose vehicle damage accurately using auto estimating tools; communicate repair needs clearly to customers and team members. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding repair, fabrication repair techniques, and when operating heavy machinery or power tools. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or collision repair specialist; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair techniques, and sheet metal fabrication. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, automotive welding equipment operation, and fabrication repair techniques. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including auto painting, auto restoration, auto glass installation, and automotive parts installation. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, and automotive cosmetic repair tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physically capable of standing for extended periods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates. Valid experience with auto estimating software is a plus; mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
