Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Technician with fabrication expertise to join our dynamic team. Your hands-on experience with welding, sheet metal work, and fabrication repair techniques will be vital in restoring vehicles to their original condition. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and vehicle refinishing using auto painting and auto glass installation techniques. Execute welding repair tasks utilizing MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore structural integrity. Fabricate custom sheet metal parts and repair damaged panels through fabrication repair techniques. Utilize power tools, sanding tools, and hand tools to prepare surfaces for painting or refinishing. Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs such as sanding, detailing, and auto restoration projects to achieve a high-quality finish. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including auto parts installation and general automotive repair procedures. Follow auto estimating procedures to accurately assess repair needs and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair timelines. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or independent shop environment. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding repair techniques. Strong fabrication skills with sheet metal work and fabrication repair techniques. Knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto restoration, and cosmetic refinishing processes. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive painting equipment safely and efficiently. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including auto glass installation, parts replacement, and general automotive repair. Experience with auto estimating software is a plus; excellent customer service skills are essential. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform detailed work in a fast-paced environment.
