Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original beauty through expert surface preparation, painting, and finishing techniques. Your craftsmanship will ensure each vehicle meets the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primer, paint, and clear coats using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision and attention to detail. Perform surface repairs including dent removal, welding, and auto body refinishing to restore vehicles to factory standards. Use automotive buffing and polishing tools to achieve smooth, high-gloss finishes that meet quality specifications. Operate power tools such as grinders and sanders safely while maintaining proper respiratory protection protocols. Conduct auto restoration tasks including auto glass replacement, detailing, and minor mechanical repairs as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety procedures are followed during surface preparation and painting processes. Requirements Proven experience in auto body repair and auto painting, preferably within a dealership or collision repair environment. Strong knowledge of automotive surface preparation, masking techniques, sanding, and coating application. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, buffing machines, and spray guns used in automotive refinishing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes. Welding experience is a plus for performing minor repairs or modifications. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Dealership experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; a strong background in auto body repair is essential.
