Responsibilities Perform automotive structural repairs on vehicle frames, including straightening, welding, and fabrication using MIG welding and other welding repair techniques. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to restore damaged or bent frames accurately. Conduct auto body repair tasks such as dent removal, sheet metal work, auto painting, and automotive cosmetic repairs to ensure a seamless finish. Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, panels, and other components with precision and care. Apply fabrication repair techniques to create custom brackets or modify existing parts for optimal fitment and safety. Use automotive parts installation skills to ensure proper alignment and structural integrity of repaired vehicles. Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes and communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair status. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background working as an automotive body technician. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and other welding repair methods essential for structural restoration. Strong fabrication skills with knowledge of sheet metal work and fabrication repair techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, and automotive structural repair. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment. Experience with auto body refinishing, auto painting, detailing, and automotive cosmetic repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs. Familiarity with auto estimating processes and customer service practices related to collision repairs. Knowledge of automotive parts installation procedures including auto glass replacement.
