Job Description

Dick Scott Collision in Fowlerville, MI is seeking an experienced, State-Certified Auto Body Technician to join our team! Excellent Pay Plan - Flat Rate + Signing Bonus! As an Auto Body Technician, you'll restore vehicles to pre-accident condition following manufacturer and dealership standards, using advanced tools and equipment. Our collision center offers a clean, modern, and well-equipped environment designed for your success. Ongoing training opportunities are available for those looking to grow their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect damaged vehicles and provide repair estimates Remove interior trim, accessories, electrical components, and panels as needed Perform body repairs, including dent removal and frame straightening Install replacement panels and structural components using proper tools and techniques Sand, grind, and refinish repaired areas Align wheels, adjust headlights, and bleed brake systems as necessary Prep and apply paint to finished repairs Repair or replace mechanical components related to body damage
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in auto body repair or equivalent apprenticeship preferred Comprehensive knowledge of body repair processes and techniques Own your own tools I-CAR certification is a plus Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Must hold Michigan State Certification in Body Repair Able to pass background check and drug screening
Working Conditions:
Physical role requiring frequent standing (6-8 hours per shift) Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and various shop materials
