Responsibilities Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and sheet metal work, using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to shape, repair, and refine vehicle bodies. Conduct auto body repairs involving dent removal, auto restoration, and cosmetic refinishing to restore vehicles to their original condition. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, trim pieces, and other components with precision and care. Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and quality control procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair journey. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto repair role, preferably within a dealership environment. ICAR and state certified. Strong proficiency in welding repair techniques such as MIG welding. Hands-on experience with auto body repair, automotive cosmetic repair, auto painting, sanding tools, and automotive refinishing. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including structural components, sheet metal work, and automotive parts installation. Familiarity with auto estimating processes and auto glass replacement is a plus. Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and automotive welding equipment safely. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship in all repairs performed. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and providing exceptional customer service. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during repairs.
