General Manager (GM) Car Center Holland is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Paint Prep Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring all areas are clean, smooth, and ready for a flawless finish. Responsibilities Clean, sand, buff, and mask surfaces prior to painting Inspect surfaces for defects Application of primers and sealers Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Collaborate & communicate with refinish technician and other team members to ensure timely project completion Assist in detailing tasks as needed Keep accurate records of materials used and work performed Qualifications Previous experience in paint preparation or a related field Basic understanding of safety regulations - ability to work safely around chemicals, solvents, dust, etc. and wear PPE as required Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and materials Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Good physical stamina and ability to work in Auto Body Shop Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team Work Environment This position may require working indoors or outdoors, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights.
