Body Shop Estimator Preferred Muskegon Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - Muskegon, MI Preferred Muskegon Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Body Shop Estimator to join our collision center team. This position is ideal for someone who understands collision repair, communicates well with customers and insurance companies, and can manage repairs from the initial estimate through final delivery. We are looking for a dependable professional who takes ownership, stays organized, and works closely with technicians, parts personnel, and insurance representatives to keep repairs moving. Responsibilities Inspect damaged vehicles and prepare accurate, thorough repair estimates Review estimates and repair expectations with customers Work directly with insurance companies, adjusters, and claims representatives Document vehicle damage with clear photographs and detailed repair information Prepare and submit supplements when additional damage is identified Follow up on approvals, parts requirements, and repair status Work closely with technicians and parts personnel to maintain an efficient repair process Keep customers informed throughout the repair Verify that approved repairs are properly documented and billed Help ensure vehicles are repaired according to manufacturer and industry standards Deliver a high level of customer service from initial contact through vehicle delivery Qualifications Previous collision estimating or body shop experience preferred Working knowledge of collision repair procedures, labor operations, and replacement parts Experience with estimating software and insurance claim systems preferred Strong communication and customer-service skills Ability to write accurate estimates and identify necessary repair procedures Excellent organization and follow-through Ability to handle multiple repairs and priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and attitude Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record I-CAR training or certifications are a plus What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience and performance Established dealership and collision repair operation Steady workflow Health, dental, and vision insurance
