Job Description

Job Summary Full time position. Good for someone younger with experience who wants to continue a career in restoring vehicles. We mostly work on restorations. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, especially the skill to be able to do mudwork, auto painting, and vehicle restoration, with a strong background in using various tools and techniques to restore vehicles to their original condition. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where craftsmanship and customer satisfaction are paramount. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for performing repairs, possibly some refinishing, and assembly work on a variety of vehicles, ensuring quality standards are met efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Repair and restore vehicle bodies using auto body repair techniques, including sheet metal work and auto glass replacement. Perform welding tasks such as MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication to repair or replace damaged panels. Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, masking, and detailing to ensure a smooth finish. Apply auto paint using airless paint spraying equipment and other finishing techniques to match original colors. Conduct vehicle assessments and provide auto estimating services for repairs needed. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform repairs accurately and efficiently. Perform mechanical tasks such as light vehicle maintenance, assembly, and detailing as needed. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality control guidelines before returning vehicles to customers. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in auto body repair, dealership experience preferred. Skilled in MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, auto painting, and auto restoration techniques. Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including auto glass installation and vehicle maintenance. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and airless paint spraying systems. Strong understanding of automotive repair processes including auto estimating and detailing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repairs needed. Automotive repair experience or mechanic background is highly desirable.
