Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Estimator and become a vital part of delivering exceptional collision repair and automotive service experiences. In this energetic role, you will assess vehicle damage accurately, prepare detailed estimates, and communicate effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians. Your mechanical knowledge and estimating expertise will drive customer satisfaction and streamline repair processes, ensuring vehicles are restored to their optimal condition efficiently. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine scope of repairs using computer-aided estimating software. Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates that include parts, labor, and materials, ensuring transparency for clients and insurance companies. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to foster trust and satisfaction. Collaborate with technicians to review repair plans, prioritize work, and ensure timely completion of repairs. Upsell additional services such as vehicle maintenance, oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, transmissions, and other auto body repairs to maximize shop revenue. Maintain client communication throughout the repair process to provide updates and address any concerns promptly. Handle cash transactions accurately when applicable and ensure all documentation is complete for insurance claims and shop records. Experience Proven experience as an auto body estimator or in a similar automotive service role with dealership or collision repair shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly advantageous. Familiarity with estimating software such as CCC ONE; experience with computer-aided vehicle damage estimating is a plus. Demonstrated ability in automotive diagnostics, collision repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance including oil changes, alignments, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, brake repairs, air brake systems, transmissions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and insurance representatives. Sales experience related to auto estimating or automobile sales is beneficial for up-selling opportunities. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles when needed.
