Summary :

Prepares the vehicles for painting and paints the vehicles in a manner that the paint will last for the life of the vehicle, and a layperson will not be able to tell that it has been painted.

Essential Duties :

? Follow I-CAR and paint manufactures procedures for preparing a vehicle for painting. ? Take the necessary steps to ensure color match. ? Always take into account the cost of the product that is being used. ? Produce an "Invisible" repair. ? Demonstrates creative ability to resolve difficult painting situations and application imperfections. ? Keeps paint shop clean at all times. ? Operates the distiller to optimize reproduction of thinner. ? Makes sure that all OSHA requirements are being followed.

Experience :

? High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities :

? Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. ? Ability to write simple correspondence. ? Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. ? Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. ? Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variable in standardized situations

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :

? Manufacturer's training certificate. ? Valid Driver's License.
