Full Job Description About Us:

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Body Shop Estimator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Estimator is responsible for assessing vehicle damage, creating accurate and detailed repair estimates, and communicating with customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of automotive repair, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Vehicle Damage Assessment:

Thoroughly inspect damaged vehicles to determine the extent of the damage, including both visible and hidden issues.

Estimate Creation:

Utilize industry-standard estimating software to prepare accurate and comprehensive repair estimates. This includes parts, labor, paint, and other necessary costs.

Customer Communication:

Greet customers, explain the repair process, review estimates, and answer any questions they may have. Provide regular updates on the status of their vehicle.

Insurance Company Liaison:

Work directly with insurance adjusters to secure approval for repairs and negotiate supplements as needed.

Workflow Management:

Coordinate with the shop manager and technicians to ensure a smooth and efficient repair process.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of all estimates, repair orders, and customer communications.

Parts Ordering:

Assist in identifying and ordering necessary parts for repairs.

Quality Control:

Conduct final inspections to ensure the vehicle has been repaired to the highest standards and the estimate has been completed accurately. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience as an auto body estimator.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in using auto body estimating software.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of automotive repair procedures, including body work, paint, and mechanical components. I-CAR certifications are a plus.

Customer Service:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely. Attention to

Meticulous in assessing damage and creating accurate estimates.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to resolve issues with customers and insurance companies effectively.

Computer Skills:

Proficient with general office software (Microsoft Office, email, etc.). Valid Driver's License.
