Briggs Collision is hiring a Body Shop Estimator for our Charlotte location. If you know collision repair, can write a solid estimate, understand supplements, communicate well with customers and insurance carriers, and know how to keep a repair moving, we want to talk to you. We are an established independent collision repair company looking for someone who can step in, take ownership of the estimating process, and become an important part of the team. You will work directly with our management and production team, have access to decision-makers, and play an important role in moving repairs from the initial estimate through completion. We are looking for someone experienced, organized, confident with customers and insurance carriers, and comfortable taking ownership of their work. Compensation $65,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience. Compensation will be based on your collision estimating background, CCC ONE experience, insurance/DRP knowledge, supplement management, repair planning experience, and ability to independently manage repairs. Strong, experienced estimators should not assume they will start at the bottom of the range. What You'll Be Doing Write accurate collision repair estimates Review vehicle damage and develop complete repair plans Work in CCC ONE Prepare, document, and manage supplements Communicate with insurance companies and adjusters Communicate clearly with customers throughout the repair Coordinate with technicians, parts, production, and management Review repair procedures and identify necessary operations Help keep repairs progressing instead of sitting idle waiting for the next step Maintain accurate documentation throughout the repair process Follow repairs from initial estimate through final completion Help identify missing operations, parts, or documentation before they become production delays Work with the team to keep customers informed and repairs moving Preferred Experience Experience in some or all of the following is preferred: Collision repair, auto body, or automotive damage estimating CCC ONE or similar estimating-system experience Insurance claims Supplements DRP repairs Auto damage appraisal Repair planning / blueprinting OEM repair procedures Parts and labor operations Customer communication Insurance negotiation Production coordination DRP experience is helpful, but it is not required. We may also consider a strong automotive or collision-industry professional who has the right technical knowledge and is ready to step into a full estimating role. Insurance-Side Estimators / Auto Damage Appraisers If you currently work as an auto damage appraiser, insurance estimator, field appraiser, or claims estimator and have strong collision estimating experience, we would also like to hear from you. If you have thought about moving from the insurance side to the shop side, this may be worth a conversation.
