Duties Perform automotive structural repairs using advanced welding techniques such as MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair to restore vehicle frames and panels. Utilize sheet metal fabrication and repair techniques to shape, cut, and install new panels or components with precision. Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, auto restoration, and cosmetic refinishing using sanding tools, auto painting equipment, and automotive body refinishing techniques. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with attention to detail. Operate power tools and automotive welding equipment safely to complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Prepare vehicles for painting using airless paint spraying systems and perform detailing to ensure a flawless finish. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including mechanical inspections, auto parts installation, and heavy lifting as needed for structural repairs. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician within a dealership or collision repair environment. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and cosmetic restoration processes. Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and the use of automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with sheet metal work, auto painting methods including airless spray systems, and automotive parts installation. Hands-on experience with auto estimating software is a plus but not required. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in automotive repair enhances your ability to diagnose issues accurately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively with hand tools and power tools throughout the repair process.
