Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Body Shop Mechanic / Automobile Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive vehicle repairs, structural fabrications, and cosmetic restorations with precision and efficiency. You will utilize your expertise in automotive body repair, welding, and fabrication techniques to restore vehicles to their optimal condition. Responsibilities Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using advanced fabrication and welding techniques. Perform automotive welding repairs utilizing MIG welding, soldering, and other welding repair methods to restore vehicle frames and panels. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to shape, cut, and finish vehicle components. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, panels, and other body components with precision. Execute auto restoration projects involving auto painting, auto body refinishing, airless paint spraying, and detailing to achieve a high-quality finish. Apply automotive cosmetic repair skills to improve vehicle appearance through sanding, polishing, and surface preparation. Follow auto estimating procedures to assess damages accurately and determine necessary repairs while adhering to safety standards. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks related to mechanical repair and ensure proper assembly of repaired parts. Handle heavy lifting safely during the repair process while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background working as an automotive body technician is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques within an automotive setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including structural components and auto body parts. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, auto restoration projects, and automotive cosmetic repairs. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, and automotive welding machinery. Knowledge of auto painting processes such as airless paint spraying and automotive body refinishing methods. Familiarity with auto estimating procedures and automotive parts installation is advantageous.
