Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Auto Body Estimator to join our fast-paced automotive repair team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for customers and insurance adjusters, accurately assessing vehicle damage and preparing comprehensive repair estimates. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication between customers, technicians, and insurance companies, contributing to efficient repair processes and exceptional customer satisfaction. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of repairs needed, including auto body repair, mechanical issues, and structural damage Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software, ensuring accuracy and transparency for customers and insurance providers Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to foster trust and confidence Collaborate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work orders Upsell additional services such as alignments, oil changes, tire services, suspension work, or transmission repairs when appropriate to enhance customer value Review insurance claims and negotiate estimates with adjusters to facilitate smooth approval processes Maintain detailed records of all estimates, repairs, and customer interactions for accountability and future reference Skills Proven dealership experience or auto service management background with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures Extensive knowledge of auto estimating software and service writing practices Hands-on mechanic experience with expertise in automotive repair including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignment, suspension systems, tire service, diesel engine repair, and vehicle maintenance Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Strong sales acumen with the ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in auto body repair and automotive diagnostics Ability to handle cash transactions accurately when processing payments or insurance claims Familiarity with dealership operations or auto service management is highly preferred Join our team if you're ready to leverage your automotive expertise in a vibrant environment where your skills make a real difference!
