Job Description
Carstar Ken's Collision is a busy collision repair and auto body shop in New Jersey. We're looking for a Body Technician to join our team and help deliver quality repairs to our customers. Job Summary We're seeking a Body Technician to perform cosmetic and structural repairs on damaged vehicles. Entry-level and early-career techs are welcome to apply — we're happy to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Repair vehicle body damage, including dents, panel misalignment, and minor frame damage. Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels, bumpers, and other body components. Assist with frame and unibody straightening using shop equipment. Weld, fill, and grind repaired sections to specifications. Prep vehicles for paint, including sanding, masking, and priming. Follow repair estimates and work within CCC One estimating software. Communicate with estimators and shop management on parts needs and timelines. Keep work area clean, organized, and safe. Ensure repairs meet quality standards before vehicle release. Qualifications Some experience in collision or auto body repair preferred, but not required — will train. Basic knowledge of body repair tools and techniques. Willingness to pursue I-CAR certification. Valid driver's license. Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
