The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing vehicles for painting and restoration, ensuring that all surfaces are properly prepped and ready for high-quality finishes. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion of paint. Use airless paint spraying equipment to apply primer and paint as needed. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify areas requiring repair or restoration. Utilize power tools for sanding, grinding, and other preparation tasks. Assist in heavy lifting of vehicle parts and components during the prep process. Collaborate with auto body repair technicians to ensure all specifications are met prior to painting. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Experience in auto glass installation or replacement is a plus. Proficiency in auto painting techniques and detail work is preferred. Familiarity with airless paint spraying equipment and power tools is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or auto restoration is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the prep process. Previous experience in auto body repair is an advantage but not mandatory. A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
