Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Auto Body Estimator to join our vibrant automotive repair team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for customers and insurance adjusters, accurately assessing vehicle damage and creating comprehensive repair estimates. Your expertise will help streamline repair processes, maximize customer satisfaction, and ensure efficient shop operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive collision repair, customer service, and technical estimating. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to identify all repair needs, including collision damage, mechanical issues, and cosmetic repairs Use advanced estimating software to prepare detailed repair estimates that include parts, labor, and materials Communicate clearly with customers, insurance representatives, and technicians to explain estimates and repair procedures Upsell additional services such as vehicle diagnostics, suspension work, tire service, brake repairs, or oil changes to enhance customer value and shop revenue Collaborate with mechanics and service technicians to ensure accurate assessment of vehicle condition and repair scope Maintain accurate records of all estimates, repair orders, and client communications in digital systems Assist in managing workflow by prioritizing repairs and coordinating with the auto service management team Requirements Proven experience in auto estimating software and collision repair processes Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, suspension systems, shocks & struts, brake systems, and oil changes Dealership or collision center experience highly preferred Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and client trust Familiarity with computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools and service writing procedures Mechanical experience or background as a service technician is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for client transportation if needed Cash handling experience is beneficial but not required Join our team to make a difference in automotive repair!
