Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert auto body repair, structural realignment, and cosmetic refinishing. Your expertise in welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure high-quality results that exceed customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automotive repair techniques in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment dedicated to excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and sheet metal work, utilizing welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Conduct auto body repairs involving dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal fabrication using hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive welding equipment. Apply automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, sanding tools, auto painting, airless paint spraying, and automotive body refinishing to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision and care. Utilize auto estimating skills to assess damage and determine the scope of repairs needed while maintaining detailed repair documentation. Assist in auto restoration projects by applying fabrication repair techniques and working with automotive parts installation. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards during heavy lifting and the use of various tools. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair progress clearly and professionally throughout the process. Experience Dealership experience or background working as an automotive body technician is highly preferred. Proven experience with MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication techniques within an automotive setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto repair processes, and automotive parts installation. Hands-on experience with auto body repair including dent removal, sheet metal work, auto painting, and refinishing. Familiarity with automotive structural repair standards and automotive cosmetic repair methods. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment effectively. Experience working with auto restoration projects or classic vehicle repairs is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs.
