Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and restoration, with the ability to diagnose and repair various types of vehicle damage. As an Auto Body Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles are restored to their pre-accident condition while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs. Perform bodywork, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening. Utilize various tools and equipment for cutting, welding, and shaping metal. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and applying body fillers. Mix and apply paint to vehicles while ensuring color matching and finish quality. Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations. Keep accurate records of repairs performed and parts used. Requirements Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as repair manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of safety procedures related to automotive repair. Certification from an accredited automotive program is a plus but not required.
