Conduct auto body repairs such as sanding, auto painting with airless paint spraying systems, and automotive cosmetic repairs to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools. Apply auto estimating skills to assess damage, prepare repair plans, and communicate effectively with customers about repair progress. Use automotive parts installation techniques to ensure proper fitment and alignment of repaired or replaced components. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards during heavy lifting and the use of power tools. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician within a dealership or collision repair environment. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto restoration, and sheet metal fabrication. Skilled in MIG and MAG welding, welding repair, soldering, and using automotive welding equipment for various repair needs. Proficiency with sanding tools, auto painting equipment (including airless paint sprayers), and detailing techniques for automotive refinishing. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto glass installation, and automotive parts installation. Familiarity with auto estimating processes and customer service skills for effective communication with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working with power tools and hand tools in a fast-paced environment.
