Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Collision Repair Technician to join our dynamic auto body repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition after collisions or damage, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body refinishing, and welding techniques will be essential in delivering top-tier service. Duties Perform comprehensive collision repairs on vehicles, including structural realignment, sheet metal work, and frame straightening using automotive welding equipment and fabrication techniques. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair methods to restore damaged parts and ensure structural integrity. Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, sanding, auto painting, and automotive cosmetic repairs using sanding tools, airless paint spraying, and finishing techniques. Install automotive parts including glass, trim, bumpers, and mechanical components with precision and care. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for disassembly, assembly, sanding, and detailing tasks to meet quality standards. Apply automotive repair knowledge to perform auto restoration projects or vehicle maintenance tasks as needed. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair journey. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or collision repair specialist in a dealership or independent shop environment. Strong background in auto body repair techniques including auto painting, auto refinishing, sheet metal work, and automotive structural repairs. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems for effective parts installation and vehicle maintenance tasks. Familiarity with auto estimating software and auto glass replacement procedures is a plus. Ability to operate various tools such as sanding tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other shop equipment efficiently. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments while maintaining attention to detail.
