Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning Perform surface repairs, including filling dents and imperfections with body filler, and sanding for a flawless finish. Use grinders, power tools, and buffing equipment to refine painted surfaces and restore vehicle aesthetics. Conduct auto body repairs such as welding, panel alignment, and minor mechanical adjustments when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols including proper respiratory protection. Assist with auto glass replacement and detailing tasks to ensure vehicles leave the shop looking their best. Qualifications Prior dealership or auto body shop experience is highly preferred. Proficiency with welding, grinding, buffing, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes. Experience with automotive body refinishing techniques including surface preparation masking and auto painting. Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and customer service skills are a plus. Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly. Familiarity with auto glass replacement and basic mechanic experience is advantageous.
