Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as an Auto Body Estimator, where you will play a vital role in assessing vehicle damage and providing accurate repair estimates. This energetic position offers the opportunity to utilize your automotive knowledge and customer service skills to deliver exceptional service and streamline collision repair processes. As an Auto Body Estimator, you will be the key point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and technicians, ensuring transparent communication and efficient workflow. Responsibilities Conduct detailed inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of collision or repair needs using computer-aided estimating software. Prepare comprehensive repair estimates that include parts, labor, and materials, ensuring accuracy and transparency for clients and insurance companies. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to enhance customer satisfaction. Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and service managers to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion of work. Upsell additional services such as vehicle maintenance or mechanical repairs when appropriate to maximize dealership or shop revenue. Maintain detailed records of estimates, repairs, and client interactions while adhering to company policies and industry standards. Stay current on automotive diagnostics, collision repair techniques, and estimating software updates to provide expert guidance. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, and vehicle maintenance. Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly desirable. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and trust with clients. Knowledge of transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment, diesel engine repair, and other automotive repairs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed. Experience in auto sales or service writing is a plus but not required.
