Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive automotive structural repairs, cosmetic refinishing, and restoration work on a variety of vehicles. Your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure that each vehicle is restored to its original condition with precision and care. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural alignment using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Utilize fabrication skills to create custom parts or repair panels using sheet metal and automotive structural repair methods. Conduct auto painting, sanding, and refinishing using airless paint spraying equipment and sanding tools to achieve high-quality cosmetic results. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision and attention to detail. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly, auto restoration projects, and detailed cosmetic repairs. Diagnose vehicle damage accurately through auto estimating procedures and communicate repair plans clearly to customers. Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks including mechanical repairs, auto parts installation, and general automotive repair duties as needed. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting operations and when operating automotive welding equipment or other power tools. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to quality standards for automotive refinishing and cosmetic repairs. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician within a dealership or collision center environment. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair techniques, and fabrication repair methods. Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive structural repair, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, and automotive painting systems including airless paint sprayers. Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service best practices for clear communication with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs. Knowledge of automotive parts installation procedures including auto glass replacement and cosmetic refinishing techniques. $26.29 - $31.66 per hour Expected hours: 60.0 per week
