Job Description
Auto Body Technician - Collision and Frame Repair 1099 Contractor | CARSTAR Phoenix Collision | Cincinnati, OH 45238 $25-$35 per flat-rate labor hour Current repair volume typically represents 60-80 available flat-rate labor hours per week. Volume and earnings are not guaranteed. Phoenix Collision is looking for a structural Auto Body Technician who can measure, pull, weld, repair aluminum, complete body-filler work, and handle collision-related mechanical work without constant direction. Production collision repair only; no restoration. The Work Structural and automotive frame measuring, pulling, straightening, alignment, and repair. Collision-repair welding, steel and aluminum panel repair, body filler, metal finishing, and panel replacement. Collision-related mechanical teardown, removal, installation, repair, and reassembly. Repairs completed to the approved plan, applicable OEM procedures, and agreed quality and safety standards. What We're Looking For Professional collision-repair shop experience is required; five or more years is preferred. Strong B-Level or rising A-Level capability and the ability to independently manage accepted assignments. Proven frame, structural, welding, aluminum panel-repair, body-filler, and collision-related mechanical skills. Ability to follow repair plans and OEM procedures, communicate additional damage, meet agreed dates, and deliver safe, complete work. Additional Value Exterior body repair, panel painting or refinishing, PDR, plastic repair, and advanced mechanical capabilities are strong pluses. I-CAR, ASE, OEM, welding, and EPA Section 609 certifications are preferred but not required. Contractor Details Flat-rate compensation is $25-$35 per flat-rate hour, based on completed and approved labor hours. Work is onsite at 4230 Delhi Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Facility access is generally available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Final assignment, payment, tools, equipment, insurance, tax, and rework terms will be defined in a written contractor agreement.
