Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician specializing in Collision Repair to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition with precision and care. Your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate team dedicated to excellence in automotive restoration and collision repair. Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment such as MIG welding and soldering. Conduct auto painting using paint spraying techniques to achieve a flawless finish that matches the vehicle's original color. Utilize auto estimating software to assess damage, prepare repair plans, and communicate timelines effectively with customers. Fabricate custom parts or modify existing components through metal fabrication techniques to ensure proper fitment and function. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, and assembly work to restore vehicles to optimal condition. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; assist with detailing vehicles for presentation or customer pickup. Collaborate with team members on complex repairs involving welding, sheet metal work, or auto body restoration projects. Experience Background working in an automotive collision repair shop is highly preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and working with sheet metal is essential for success in this role. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto body repair equipment. Familiarity with auto estimating processes and customer service skills to effectively communicate repair needs and timelines. Experience with auto painting techniques such as paint spraying Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; experience in auto restoration or automotive repair is advantageous. Knowledge of automotive systems including vehicle maintenance, auto painting, and general collision repair practices.
