The primary focus of the Body Shop Technician is to repair damaged body parts and truck bodies according to work orders provided using hand and power tools. The Body Tech will follow directions provided by the Cosmetic Bay Lead and/or Supervisor Key Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions Repair trucks cosmetically to OTS standards while following the work order written by the Service Writer Follow OTS work instructions during reconditioning process and complete task in OTS SRT's Buffing, Polishing, Bondo, Sanding, etc. Re-assemble truck in a timely manner Keep work area and shop tools clean Clock in and out of ERP system and be on the correct VIN and segment Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) Follow all company policies and procedures Notify Cosmetic Supervisor of any safety issues in department Daily use of PC and business computer applications Performs other job-related duties assigned Required Education, Skills & Abilities High School Diploma or equivalent Two+ years of previous experience in a body shop Experience using a wide variety of tools and equipment to assess and repair trucks Critical thinker Independent self-starter with time management skills Must be comfortable in a shop environment Must provide own tools & toolbox Physical demands include: Must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds Constant hand, fingers, and arm use Must be able to climb up and down a ladder Ability to continuously stand or walk Ability to manipulate small hand tools Ability to bend, squat, and lift frequently Must be able to push and pull objects weighing 50+ pounds Ability to use hand and power tools above shoulders

Pay:

$21.25 - $26.25 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
