Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Utilize fabrication skills to create custom parts or modify existing components for vehicle restoration or repair projects. Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, auto painting, auto refinishing, and detailing to restore vehicles' appearance. Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment efficiently and safely to complete repairs. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks and perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process. Follow fabrication repair techniques and automotive welding standards to ensure durable and safe repairs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes including auto restoration, dent repair, and sheet metal work. Skilled in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and automotive welding equipment operation. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive structural components and vehicle maintenance procedures. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other automotive repair tools. Ability to perform automotive cosmetic repairs such as auto painting and refinishing with attention to detail Physical ability for heavy lifting and working on vehicles in various positions for extended periods.
